Isle Of Dogs

The loop of Thames around the Isle of Dogs is one of the river's most recognisable features although the history of the name is less distinct. The Millwall Docks that cut through the island suggest its past as a centre for heavy industry but, with Canary Wharf to the north, it has been in the vanguard of regeneration.
