Wharfer and West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison has been remanded in custody after being charged with assaulting his former girlfriend and her mum.

The 21-year-old was yesterday, Thursday, charged with two counts of common assault at Manchester Magistrates Court before being refused bail.

He is alleged to have attacked a 19-year-old woman outside a bar in Manchester last Sunday and assaulted her again later in the evening, in addition to a second victim aged 35.

They are believed to be the Manchester-born footballer's former girlfriend Reah Mansoor and her mother Parveen Mansoor.
