WHAT'S ON

A teenage actress from the Isle of Dogs has been snapped up for a programme run by Britain's top black-led thespian group.

Angelina Chudi has spent four intense weeks training as part of Talawa Theatre Company's TYPT, an annual season which culminates in a full production staged at the Royal London Central School of Speech and Drama's Embassy Theatre, in north London, from Thursday (August 14).

The 19-year-old has been working alongside eight other cast members and director Ola Animashawun to dream up a piece of new theatre exploring themes of trust, betrayal and loyalty.

The group's play will be performed until Saturday.
