British Transport Police have released images of a man they want to speak to after a teenage girl, travelling with her mother, was sexually assaulted on a Jubilee line train.

The incident happened on a busy service between Canary Wharf and North Greenwich at 6pm on Monday, June 9.

Detective Constable Darren Davies said: "A 16-year-old girl was touched inappropriately by a man on the train.

"The girl's mother confronted the man responsible and, on arriving at North Greenwich, reported the incident to a member of station staff.

"The man denied the allegations and boarded another eastbound train shortly afterwards."

"We would like to speak to the man in the images about this incident as we believe he can help with our investigation.

"We treat all incidents of unwanted sexual behaviour very seriously and I would urge anyone who recognises the man to contact us."
