Table tennis tables popped up at Jubilee Place and the West Wintergarden on August 1 where competitors can play and also get tips from pro coaches. Ping! is on until August 10.

The ping pong is free to play and you can also pre-book onsite. There are also long-standing tables at Canada Square Park and Wood Wharf.

2 Big Band at Canary Wharf

The BBC Big Band will be at Canada Square Park on Tuesday giving renditions of hits from Count Basie and Duke Ellington.

Get there early and grab a spot on the lawn.

3 RideLondon comes to town

Cycle spectacular Prudential RideLondon will take place on August 9 and 10 with a variety of competitios across the capital.


Sunday will see cyclists leave the Olympic Park, journey around Surrey and back into central London. See the competitors race past Canary Wharf.


4 Space in the Place at the Olympic Park

Music promoter Arctic Circle will take over two observation decks to display new music and musicians, including Ninja Tune's DJ Food and synth-folk drone-ballad band Transept.

5 Head to Wood Wharf bar

CNTNR bar - that's container without the vowels - is currently at Wood Wharf in Canary Wharf until the end of September.


New seats have been put in place so head there and enjoy the sunshine.
