After days of uncertainty and some very unhappy customers, Secret Cinema has announced it will screen its first showing of Back to the Future tomorrow.

Today, founder of Secret Cinema, Fabien Riggall said: "We are happy to announce that Secret Cinema Presents Back to the Future will go ahead.

"We are extremely sorry for the delayed communications of last week. We know we let our audience down and will do everything we can to make it up to them."

Organisers cancelled the first week of screenings, at the venue near the Olympic Park, after not being able to meet the requirements from Hackney Council in time.

On the opening night (July 24) ticket holders found out just hours before the event that it had been cancelled, causing a huge backlash.

One disappointed customer wrote on the Secret Cinema Facebook page: "There are just no words to say how disgusted tickets holders are at this. A refund for the ticket? How is that even possibly compensation for those who have spent time and money coming from afar?"

Ticket holders for July 24-27 can reschedule tickets or get a full refund, including booking fee, via secretcinema@seetickets.com.
