A number of roads will be closed throughout east London on Sunday as the London Triathlon returns to the Excel Centre.

The event saw major disruption in 2012, with some on the Isle of Dogs stuck in gridlocked traffic for hours.

However, 2013 went off relatively smoothly after Transport for London increased road closure warnings.

Roads between Excel and central London will be affected, including Seagull Lane, Lower Lea Crossing, Aspen Way, Limehouse Link and The Highway.

All roads east of the roads impacted east of Tower Bridge are likely to be closed from 5am to 6.30pm on Sunday.
