Property agent to open new east London office
Hot on the heels of a new Singapore bureau, Johns&Co is set to launch its latest London office next month.
The agent, which specialises in premium new-build property, first set roots in east London last year when it opened the doors to its office and marketing suite at 21 Wapping Lane.
And almost 12 months later, its new hub will be unveiled at Ballymore Group's Providence Tower development, in New Providence Wharf, on July 1.
John Morley, founder and managing director, said: "It's quite an established development at the moment, with maybe 1,000 apartments and all the facilities you would expect from a high end scheme, as well as the Radisson Blu Edwardian New Providence Wharf Hotel.
"With that kind of profile of investors and tenants, that was a major attraction for us.
"On top of that, one of the major factors was Providence Tower is due for completion in 2016 and Johns&Co is the appointed lettings, management and re-sale agent by the developers.
"That's the last piece of the jigsaw within that development and I think the time is right for us to open there so we can hold the hands of the landlords between now and completion. We can try and offer exceptional service to both the landlords and tenants currently in the development."
The new office - which will be open from Monday to Saturday - will offer the complete Johns&Co property management service and help clients and landlords to let or sell their investments.
It will also be a face-to-face point of contact for general advice and support for prospective buyers.
The Providence Tower scheme will offer apartments with open plan living areas and views across the capital.
There'll also be a world class athletics club, with boxing ring and 25m swimming pool, as well as access to meeting rooms, valet parking and comprehensive security.
John, 30, said the new facility would be building on the "resounding success" of the firm's site in Wapping, where he explained many landlords had embraced the presence of an on-site lettings and management agent and instructed Johns&Co to manage their apartments.
He added the service had also helped reduce void periods, while a Details by Johns&Co app will assist tenants and landlords with everything from dry cleaning duties to party organising, also being launched on July 1.
"We are going to hit the ground running," said John. "We have got a lot of instructions already ahead of the launch.
"Our tenants will be a mix of overseas and local and within Wapping and Canary Wharf, from a tenants point of view, we have tapped into the corporate market and the blue chip companies in finance and banking sectors."
