The 2014 London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival returns to the London Regatta Centre, Royal Docks for its 19th year this weekend, promising to be the biggest event yet.

In addition to hosting Europe's most spectacular dragon boat races - with four cups up for grabs - the free all-day event will include an east Asian food festival, live music, martial arts displays and Chinese Lion Dancing.

Michael Chan, president of hosts the London Chinatown Lions Club, said: "The dragon boat racing will be as spectacular as ever with club, corporate and leisure-pleasure teams battling it out for top honours - and bragging rights!

"Of course it's not just about having fun. There's a serious side to our work. All net proceeds are donated to nominated charities supported by London Chinatown Lions Club. You can look forward to an exciting day of dragon boat racing and entertainment - and do your bit to support communities in need."
