Charlton boss Bob Peeters said he had been impressed with the preformances of Iran striker Reza Ghoochannejhad in the World Cup.

The striker moved to Charlton in mid-season but failed to hold down a first team place. However, Peeters has high hopes for the 26-year-old.

"I always thought he was a good player in Belgium, then he came here and I know as a foreigner when you go abroad it takes time to settle," said Peeters.

"He'll come back after the Workd Cup and he's got a lot of qualities. He's someone I'd like work with."
