A woman who fell from London Bridge this morning was rescued by Canary Wharf Group's boat The Launch.

The woman entered the Thames at about 11am today as the boat passed under the bridge.

The team on board managed to pull her on board where they began to immediately administer CPR.

The RNLI, Metropolitan Police and the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) attended and the woman was taken to hospital.

A Canary Wharf Group spokesman said: "The police, RNLI and the HEMS doctor were extremely impressed with the rescue, initial life-saving and aftercare conducted by Canary Wharf Group staff.

"The female was taken to hospital but, at the point of handover, had a rapidly strengthening pulse, was breathing normally and responsive."
