DATA

With Sam Allardyce confirmed to stay on as manager at West Ham under instructions to play more attacking football, we have taken a look at each of the clubs he has managed in England and seen how they have fared in the five seasons following his departure.

Check out our graphic below

DETAILS
Since leaving Blackpool each of Sam Allardyce's clubs have been relegated within the five following seasons.

NB: Finishing league positions are relevant to the league that the team was in at the time of Sam Allardyce's departure - so for Blackpool 7th means 7th in League One and -7 means 7th in League Two.

For seasons where Allardyce left mid-season we have taken that season's finishing position as the first following his departure - as in the case of Newcastle in 07/08
