A monkey, giraffe and a crayon abseiled down 50 Bank Street for the English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) at the weekend.

The Drop For Sport event attracted 75 people who abseiled the 200ft building, including one man who, turning 60, had listed abseiling a building as one of his challenges to undertake.

Companies that took part included BNY Mellon and Northern Trust, and there was also an appearance from Jodie Marsh, who abseiled with her brother and friends.

Wendy Hewer from BNY Mellon said: "This was such a personal challenge as I am terrified of heights. I feel fantastic and super proud to have done this today and for such a great cause."

EDFS hope to have raised £15,000, which will go directly into its events programme for disabled children and adults.
