A number of people rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries from a warehouse party in Beckton are believed to have taken MDMA.

Emergency services were called to the event at Hillcroft Road on Friday night. Police said people suffered "extreme adverse effects" from the illegal drugs.

A Met spokesperson said: "We strongly advise anyone who bought drugs at the party last night not to take these as the consequences could be potentially life threatening.

"Anyone with information about the sale of illegal drugs should call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Officers are trying to find out who supplied the drugs.
