Coq d'Argent, City

Throughout February this D&D City stronghold is making use of its famous terrace to tempt thirsty astronomers.

In addition to a Skyliner-200P telescope for guests to survey the skies with, cocktail creator Pawel Rolka has come up with a selection of drinks that will have you seeing stars at ground level.

Dubbed variously, the Starlight, Galaxies, Telescope and Meteor Shower these £10 tipples feature a baffling array of ingredients including bases of gin, whisky, tequila and bourbon.

We try a few as the shooting stars fly across the night sky are able to report the latter is by far the best.

A cool and clear citrus slap, with pomegranate seeds doing the job of the meteors, it makes the schlep to the DLR worthwhile all on its own.
