Police are appealing for information over an assault on a Jubilee line train on New Year's Eve.

The incident came to their attention following a YouTube video, which appears to shows two men attack an unseen victim on a service between London Bridge and Canary Wharf.

A British Transport Police spokeswoman said: "BTP is aware of the YouTube video and our enquiries are ongoing.

"We don't tolerate violence anywhere on the London Underground network and I'd urge anyone who recognises the people in the video, or who witnessed the incident, to come forward so we can begin to build a full picture of exactly what took place."

Anyone with information should call BTP 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 quoting background log LUA/B9 07/01/14.

Alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
