A 48-hour DLR strike due to take place from this Wednesday has been cancelled by union officials.

There is no news on whether a proposed walk-out on February 4 and 5 will still go ahead. A statement from Transport for London read: "The RMT union has cancelled a planned strike on the DLR on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30.

"DLR services will run as normal."

Meanwhile, services will be suspended between Canning Town and Beckton this weekend for engineering workers.

And Tube strikes protesting at the closure of ticket offices are due to take place on February 4 and 11.
