One Direction star sorry for Pan Peninsula stunt
Canary Wharf resident Liam Payne has apologised after being photographed standing on a ledge at the Pan Peninsula skyscraper.
The image was believed to have been put on Twitter by a friend of the One Direction singer.
Later he used the social network to say sorry to fans.
'You may have seen a photo of me today taken on top of a building," he said. "I regret being there and having a photo taken.
"It was a stupid and irresponsible thing to do. I am sorry, and do not endorse any fans trying to repeat this, as it is extremely dangerous."
The picture emerged on Sunday.
It's not the first time Liam has hit the headlines for antics at the 42-storey tower, where he lives.
Back in December a friend was hospitalised after his balcony caught fire.
The star also took to Twitter this week to make an appeal for fans to stop "coming and waiting outside" the apartment block after friends tweeted photos of it.
