Canary Wharf fatal fall man named as JP Morgan executive

The man who died after falling from the top of the 25 Bank Street building has been named as Gabriel Magee, a tech executive at JP Morgan.

Gabriel joined the firm in 2004 and was a vice president with the corporate and investment bank technology arm at its Canary Wharf headquarters.

The incident happened at around 8am on Tuesday morning.

The 39-year-old landed on a ninth floor roof at the JP Morgan owned building in Canary Wharf. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

A statement released by the firm On Tuesday afternoon said: "We are deeply saddened to have lost a member of the JP Morgan family at 25 Bank Street today.

"Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family and his friends."

Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
