Woman taken to hospital after bridge fall in Newham
A woman has been taken to hospital after falling from a height of about 15 metres from a bridge.
Officers from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and police were called to Sandstone Lane, by Prince Regent DLR station, at 3.25pm on Monday.
A police spokesperson said officers had responded to a report of a female having fallen over the railings from the top of stairs alongside the Excel Centre.
LAS deployed two crews, a duty officer and an air ambulance to the scene.
It is believed the victim received treatment for head and feet injuries at the scene, before being taken to Royal London Hospital.
