Olympic tower set to get support from Newham
A proposal for a 33 storey tower near to the Olympic Park is set to receive backing from Newham Council's planning department.
The scheme from Telford Homes is to be decided on by the London Legacy Development Corporation, which has asked the borough for its views.
A planning report from Newham officers has given the tower, which will hold 181 apartments, the thumbs up and the borough's strategic development committee meets on Tuesday to give its decision.
Made up of one, two and three bedrooms, the tower also includes a gym and parking space.
The developer plans to have 24 apartments available as intermediate housing.
A development of 759 student bedrooms for the same area, zone one of Stratford City, was approved earlier this year.
