Carnivores' paradise pops up dockside
Meatopia is a call to arms for all lovers of animal consumption. On Saturday, Tobacco Dock will be transformed into a fiery meat pit where butchers will rub shoulders with chefs and international BBQ kings will peer through the smoke at the bright young things of the London restaurant scene.
Over 20 chefs will each create a bespoke tasting dish and cook it right in front of those attending, over fire.
Visitors may consume as many as they like using Meatbucks to redeem dishes.
The idea is meat fans while away the afternoon eating, drinking, dancing, listening to the Meaterati debating and sharing stories.
Meatopia is not just about those activities though. There will be live bands, butchery demonstrations, informal workshops, art installations, street theatre and live performances.
Expect all the rock'n'roll chaos of supercharged sets, chuggy jams in dark corners and jump-up dance-along tunes from DJs and musicians.
Wondering what you'll wash all this down with? The best in artisan ales, fine wines and spirits will complement the food and fun.
Tickets prices start at £45, from midday to 9pm.
