Restaurant manager leaves customer with broken nose
A customer in an Indian restaurant complained about poor service and was left with a broken nose after being headbutted by a member of staff.
Mozaid Hussain, of Lomas Street in E1, attacked the 27-year-old man after following him outside the Twickenham restaurant.
The incident happened at a work Christmas party last year after the customer twice complained. As the group left, Hussain, one of the restaurant managers, followed them outside and offered the man a cigarette, which was refused.
Hussain headbutted the victim, who was treated in hospital, before heading to a nearby police station where he handed himself in.
Hussain, 44, was ordered to pay £80 in compensation and £625 in costs at Wimbledon Magistrates after he pleaded guilty to common assault.
