Police make fourth arrest over Ajmol Alom death
A fourth man has been arrested by police investigating the death of 16-year-old student Ajmol Alom.
The 21-year-old was being held at an east London police station after being apprehended on Saturday.
Ajmol was attacked on August 12 at Spey Street in Poplar and died later in hospital. A post-mortem found the cause of death as a stab wound in the thigh.
It was revealed this week, Ajmol, who studied at Langdon Park School, achieved 11 GCSEs - eight As and three Bs.
Aminur Nazir Khan, 19 of Robin Hood Gardens, in Poplar, is so far the only person who has been charged in the investigation into the attack.
He appeared at Thames Magistrates Court on August 15 and was remanded in custody.
A 19-year-old and a 21-year-old are currently on police bail.
