Family of Ajmol Alom make emotional appeal
The family of Ajmol Alom, who died after being stabbed in Poplar last week, have made an emotional appeal for information.
They spoke to BBC News to ask the community for help in finding out what happened to the 16-year-old.
His aunt, Asma Begum, said: "We can't bring him back but we can bring justice. What I want to say to the community is please, please come forward if you know anything."
"We want to know why."
The aunt said Ajmol, who is expected to get top marks in his GCSEs when they are released on Thursday, always wanted to be a doctor "to help the community".
Ajmol was with a friend when he was attacked in Spey Street last Monday.
Three men have been arrested and one of them charged with murder.
On Monday evening a mobile police station was set up in Spey Street to mark a week since the attack and encourage residents in the area to give information.
