A gallery of song has been unveiled at The O2 which will link up with Stuart Maconie's Radio Two show.

The People's Songs Gallery opens today, Tuesday, at The British Music Experience.

Visitors will be able to record their memories of songs that helped to shape Britain as well as explore the show's archive, listen to episodes and hear comments from other music fans on the Audioboo terminals.

The new exhibition will link up with Radio Two's landmark series of the same name, both written and presented by Stuart Maconie.

Curator Paul Lilley said: "Putting the fans into the story is something that we've always done at the British Music Experience and I'm thrilled that The People's Songs is taking a similar approach in presenting a modern history of Britain."

Go to britishmusicexperience.com for tickets.

See the paper on Thursday for Stuart Maconie's views on the show.
