A new way to unwind is on its way with a shisa garden soon to open in Canary Wharf.

Temple Lounge at West India Quay is near completion and, as well as giving visitors the the chance to indulge in the hookah while sitting by the dock, will serve Lebanese and Indian cuisine in its restaurant.

Construction work at the site is well underway and the venue could open in the next few days, although a definite opening date has not yet been announced.

The restaurant will not serve alcohol but will allow those dining to bring their own drinks. All meat will be halal.

Heaters will operate in an enclosed space on its terrace during the colder months.

Temple Lounge takes over from Champagne and wine bar Astons On The Quay which closed its doors after Christmas.
