Huge crowds gathering for open air events and acres of green space surrounding iconic venues - that is what's being envisaged for the Olympic Park.

The London Legacy Development Corporation has released a series of images to mark six months since the opening ceremony.

Parts of the park - to be known as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park - will be open this summer, and by 2014 it will be fully accessible.

The LLDC's chief executive Dennis Hone said: "We are making it happen - with plans for events and concerts agreed, operators and tenants for the venues secured, permission to build thousands of new homes granted, and 20 elite sporting championships either won or bid for over the next five years. We are on track to create a top visitor destination and great legacy for east London."
