City Pride plans submitted to council

The landowner of the City Pride site has submitted detailed plans for the 75 storey development to Tower Hamlets Council's planning committee.

Chalegrove Properties wants to put 864 residential units and 84 serviced apartments in the skyscraper.

Plans have also been put in by the same developer for a three to six storey buildings at Island Point on Westferry Road. The proposal is for 173 apartments.

I can only presume that they're stopping at 75 storeys to retain One Canada Square as the tallest building in the area. Otherwise, I don't see why they don't just go all out and stack another 25 storeys on this thing, surely it would make little difference (besides the cost of doing it of course).
