Leonard Cohen announces O2 summer show
Legendary singer songwriter Leonard Cohen has announced a date a The O2.
The Canadian performer whose career has spanned six decades will be appearing at the North Greenwich venue on June 21.
Cohen was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame by Lou Reed who said he is, "without question one of the most important and influential songwriters of our time, a figure whose body of work achieves greater mystery and depth as time goes one."
His 1984 release Hallelujah has been covered more than 200 times, perhaps most famously by Jeff Buckley and more recently by X Factor winner Alexandra Burke.
Cohen returned to the stage in 2008 following a 15 year break and is currently touring the US.
