Labour councillors will demand that Tower Hamlets Mayor Lutfur Rahman puts the sale of the borough's Henry Moore sculpture on-hold, at a motion to be heard next week.

Members say they have identified four potential homes for the Draped Seated Woman, locally known as Old Flo, since the Mayor proposed its auction and are asking for these to be explored.

Cllr Denise Jones, Labour spokesperson for culture nd heritage, said: "Throughout this process the Mayor has constantly refused to consider anything other than selling this work of art."

The meeting of the council will be held on November 28 at the Town Hall, starting at 7.30pm.

It is open to the public.
