Man killed in Poplar crash

A 44-year-old man died after collapsing at the steering wheel of his minibus in Poplar on Tuesday night.

Police are appealing for information on the incident which saw the Ford Transit, which had been travelling along Aspen Way, hit a Ford Galaxy and a traffic light.

The minibus' driver, who has not been named, was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Galaxy was uninjured in the incident which occurred at about 8.40pm at the Leamouth Road roundabout.
