Citigroup CEO quits firm

Wharf firm Citigroup has announced Vikram Pandit has stepped down from the role of chief executive just a day after the company published its third-quarter results.

He is to be replaced by Michael Corbat, manager of the group's business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
