West Ham pay record fee for Jarvis
West Ham have finally agreed a deal worth a possible £10.75m for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Matt Jarvis.
The deal was done on Wednesday night and the 26-year-old star today travelled to the capital to discuss personal terms and undertake a medical. Manager Sam Allardyce is hopeful the player can start at Swansea on Saturday.
The initial £7.5million fee matches the record transfer fee West Ham paid for Craig Bellamy in 2007.
Jarvis scored eight goals and accrued a healthy number of assists in the Midland club's doomed bid to stay in the top flight last season.
