Weekend of Jubilee celebrations confirmed

Beacons will be lit across London to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this weekend, including four in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
The O2 entertainment venue, Woolwich, Eltham and Maritime Greenwich have all been confirmed for the ceremony at 10pm on June 4, just before the head of state lights the National Beacon.
Other events to take part in Greenwich include a production of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat performed by almost 200 schoolchildren at Woolwich's main square.
There will also be a big brunch at the Old Royal Naval College on Sunday between midday to 5pm.
Tower Hamlets will see a Jubilee Party on Monday at Mile End Park, while there will also be at least 35 street parties in the borough over the weekend funded by grants from Canary Wharf Group.
The Tower Hamlets beacon will be lit at Mile End Park by Mayor Lutfur Rahman at 10.25pm.
Mayor Rahman said: "In Tower Hamlets we are working hard to ensure residents can be part of the special atmosphere and can be a part of the festivities.
"The Jubilee party in Mile End Park gives everyone the chance to have fun and pay tribute to the Queen at the same time."
Newham will be kicking off celebrations on Friday evening with an event at Royal Docks where a beacon will be lit at Britannia Village. There will also be street parties across the whole of the borough.
