Gun death officer is named
The police officer found dead at North Woolwich police station following an incident with a firearm has been named as PC Kenny Cornelius.
An inquest was opened and adjourned at Walthamstow Coroner's Court yesterday. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death of the 38-year-old family man.
PC Cornelius worked with the Aviation Security Command at London City Airport and the Woolwich Manor Way station was used as a base and storage area for the armed officers.
He was found with gunshot wounds to the head on Sunday, May 13, but was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived 20 minutes later.
