Teen injured by police car released from hospital

A 15-year-old seriously injured after being hit by a police car on an emergency call has been discharged from hospital.

The teenage boy, along with a 16-year-old male who suffered minor injuries, were at The Highway in Wapping when the accident happened at 10.30pm last Friday.

London Ambulance Service arrived at the scene and took both boys to hospital - the younger suffering from head injuries.

The police car had its siren on at the time. Traffic officers are investigating the incident and the Directorate of Professional Standards have been informed.
