Movie icon Robert Redford and Grammy veteran T Bone Burnett will share their classic musical moments and their most inspirational events at the start of the first-ever Sundance London next month.

Their conversation about the relationship between music and films covers the theme of the cultural import beginning on April 26 and spread over four days at The O2 in North Greenwich.

An Evening With Robert Redford And T Bone Burnett (pictured) will be moderated by a Brit who knows a fair bit about melding the two - High Fidelity author Nick Hornby.

Redford, founder and president of Sundance Institute which has organised the festival alongside O2 operator AEG, said: "The depth of T Bone's experience and accomplishments in the worlds of both film and music set the stage for the Sundance London programme and the celebration of music and film that's to come.

"His ability to deepen the experience of watching a film through the addition of music has seen him produce and curate some of cinema's most notable and commercially successful soundtracks."

Burnett has won awards for soundtracks for movies including Crazy Heart, Winter's Bone and O Brother Where Art Thou?

As well as live music performances and discussions, the festival will feature the UK premieres of films fresh from last month's Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
