Man charged after Newham policemen mauled by dog
A musician has been charged with possession of a dangerous dog following an incident in which five police officers were mauled.
Symieon Robinson Pierre of Albert Square, E15, who appeared in court today was also charged with allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place.
The five officers were hospitalsed after being attacked by a pit bull-type dog during a raid at a Stratford address on Thursday
afternoon.
Two have since been discharged, while the remaining three are in a stable condition.
Robinson, 25 was also charged with GBH with intent and kidnapping relating to an incident on March 14 in Newham.
He has been remanded in custody to reappear at Thames Magistrate Court on March 29 with a further hearing date set for April 18.
