More flights to France and Spain have been announced by British Airways as the airline looks to increase its network of holiday destinations.

Mahon in Menorca will launch on May 25, with flights to two French destinations, Angers in the Loire Valley and Quimper in Brittany, beginning just after.

The routes take the number of BA destinations from London City to 21.

Mahon comes in following the successful introduction of flights to fellow Balearic Islands Majorca and Ibiza in 2010. Prices will begin at £75 each way on flights operating three times a week.

Angers is launched on May 29 with flights three times a week. Quimper begins its twice weekly flights a day later.

Both routes have flights beginning at £65.

BA's Luke Hayhoe said: "We are very excited about the new routes which are completely new destinations for London City Airport and offer our customers even more holiday choices .

"We're sure that these new routes coupled with British Airways' all inclusive fares and London City's unique 20 minute check-in will be a hit this Summer."

The more the merrier - as long as the prices are competitive. LCY-PMI last year peak season was about £600 which makes a trip to LHR attractive!
