Millwall hit five in FA Cup replay with Dagenham
Millwall shrugged off last Saturday's 6-0 home defeat by Birmingham to sweep aside Dagenham & Redbridge in their FA Cup third round replay.
Darius Henderson hit a hat-trick at The Den last night as Kenny Jackett's men found their form in front of goal at last. The Lions will now host Championship leaders Southampton on January 28.
Henderson was joined on the scoresheet by on-loan Tottenham starlet Harry Kane, who netted twice.
Millwall had scored just five goals in their previous 11 games, and they looked a little short of confidence in the opening stages before Henderson's first goal settled their nerves against the League Two side.
Millwall assistant manager Joe Gallen said: "We've been saying we needed a win and to do that we needed some goals, so to score five was a good confidence boost, especially for the forwards.
"All round it's been a good evening for us, but now we've got to do it in the league.
"We'll see in the next few weeks whether these two guys can score the goals we need."
