DLR extends three car service to Woolwich Arsenal
The DLR has launched its new three car service between Bank and Woolwich Arsenal.
An additional 1500 passengers an hour will be able to make the 27 minute journey from this morning.
It is hoped the extra car will help to meet the increasing demand on the line and cater for Olympic traffic during this summer's Games.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: "As the Olympics approach, the DLR has struck gold with a huge 50 per cent increase in capacity - the perfect example of the Olympic legacy already delivering real improvements for Londoners."
