Witnesses to Rotherhithe fatal crash sought
A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car in Rotherhithe.
The 67-year-old man whose identity is awaiting confirmation died on Saturday (October 8) after being readmitted to hospital more than a month after the crash on September 2.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision between the man's BMW motorcycle and a Honda Civic next to temporary roadworks on Queens Road by the junction with Astbury Road, SE15.
Officers were called to the scene at 5.35am. No arrests have been made and police are continuing with their enquiries.
DC Clay O'Neill of the Road Death Investigation Unit said: "I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision, and in particular, the moments leading up to the collision to contact me.
"Although the collision occurred early in the morning, we know there were people in the area who could help us piece together exactly what happened."
