Bradley Wright-Phillips is about to be unveiled by Charlton tonight in his first appearance since his move from Plymouth.

Colchester are the visitors to The Valley in what will be only Chris Powell's second match as manager since taking charge over a fortnight ago.

Wright-Phillips is battling it out with Scott Wagstaff, Joe Anyinsah, Nathan Eccleston and Paul Benson - who returns from suspension - up front for tonight's clash, but the former Manchester City striker is likely to get a place at least on the bench.

Fellow new signing Frederico Bessone, who joins on loan from Leeds, is also likely to be involved. The former Barcelona left-back will compete with Matt Fry for a place in the starting line-up.

Colchester's side is set to include former Addicks' loanee David Mooney, who has scored 10 goals for the U's this term.

The Londoners will be keen to get some points on the board after Saturday's match against Rochdale was called off due to a frozen pitch.

Charlton are level with Colchester in eighth position.
