Wharf law firm to hold employment seminar

The UK's largest specialist employment law firm Doyle Clayton is holding a seminar on October 13, to discuss changes made to employment law over the last year and looking ahead to what you should be preparing for in 2011.

Ian White, head of marketing and business development at Doyle Clayton said: "Employment law is constantly changing. A company's people are an extremely valuable resource and so it is important that HR professionals and those providing in-house legal support remain up to date with these changes.

"We will be providing a general update on a number of areas that have seen changes this year including maternity and paternity pay, age discrimination, unfair dismissal, holiday and sick leave entitlement and the introduction of the Equality Act in October."

Darren Clayton the partner who heads up the firm's Canary Wharf office will be speaking together with other specialist employment lawyers.

The seminar will be presented in plain English for HR professionals and lawyers working in-house, looking not only at what is changing, how it could affect businesses and what needs to be done.

Those attending will receive more detailed notes on the areas discussed and will have the opportunity to talk to the firm's employment law and business immigration lawyers before and after the event.
