minchin.JPGIvory tinkling Aussie comic sensation Tim Minchin is bringing his latest show to the O2 Arena at the end of the year.

Promising heaps of new material as well as reworkings of familiar songs, he will be joined by Jules Buckley and the Heritage Orchestra.

Minchin said: "It is going to be the biggest, stupidest, rockingest live comedy gig ever in the whole universe."

His one of a kind brand of musical comedy features songs and poems including hilarious The Song For Phil Daoust, a toe tapping tune about the writer for The Guardian who gave him one of his first bad reviews after seeing him at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2005

Downloadable single White Wine in the Sun was beaten to the coveted Christmas number one spot by a combination of Rage Against the Machine and Joe McElderry.

The flame haired funny man will be appearing on the 14th December as part of a UK tour.

Tickets are £44 and go on sale today at theo2.co.uk.
