Canary Wharf Jog brings fun runners out in droves
The sun shone as over 1,000 runners took to the streets around One Canada Square for the British Heart Foundation Canary Wharf Jog.
Last night's fun run was blessed with good weather, with 1,300 people turning out to enjoy themselves, although some found the going harder than others.
Runners of all ages, ability and shapes and sizes took to the streets to raise money for research into heart disease, although the big red swarm at the start gradually became a thin red line as the 10 laps of the circuit began to take their toll.
Celebrating its 14th year the Jog has become a keenly anticipated fixture on the Canary Wharf calendar, raising tens of thousands of pounds for the charity.
There was no celebrity to start the event this year, so Canary Wharf Group's strategic adviser Howard Dawber and BHF chief executive Peter Hollins shared the honour.
And with all the runners finishing safely well before the sun set, many will already be thinking about entering again next year.
