Preview: West Ham v Bolton
West Ham face bogey team Bolton at Upton Park tomorrow without their biggest transfer window signing.
Striker Benni McCarthy, a £2.5million capture from Blackburn in January, will miss the game as he has yet to recover from the knee injury sustained on his debut at Burnley on February 6.
West Ham have not beaten the Trotters since the sides met at Upton Park in May 2007 and have lost to them twice this season, both by 3-1 scorelines, and will be desperate to record a victory tomorrow.
The Hammers have been in good form at home in recent matches with four wins and a draw in their last five matches.
Danny Gabbidon could be on the bench after a lengthy hamstring injury absence, as could Kieron Dyer as he continues his comeback after a substitute appearance at Manchester United 10 days ago.
But Herita Ilunga and Calum Davenport are both still ruled out.
Bolton, who lie just one point behind the Irons, have injury problems of their own, notably midfielder Stuart Holden, who broke his leg playing for the USA in midweek.
Tickets for the game will be on sale until kick-off.
