Carlisle 1 Millwall 3
Millwall strengthened their grip on a League One play-off place with a well-deserved win at Carlisle.
Two goals from striker Steve Morison helped the Lions to a 3-1 victory at Brunton Park last night, setting them up nicely for Saturday's derby clash with Charlton.
Morison gave Millwall the perfect start when he opened the scoring on 12 minutes, lobbing the ball home from the edge of the box after being set up by Shaun Batt.
Carlisle made a game of it and asked a few questions of Lions keeper David Forde, but the Irishman proved equal to everything thrown at him, particularly when he pulled off a stunning save from Matthew Robson just before half-time.
Millwall did create chances of their own, with Morison hitting the post with one effort, and it took until the 78th minute for them to extend their lead.
Batt and Tony Craig combined well down the left flank to feed Chris Hackett, who swung over an inviting cross which Morison headed over Collin.
The points looked safe but Carlisle went for broke and pulled a goal back in the second minute of injury time when Danny Livesey headed home a Robson corner.
But Danny Schofield sealed the win for the visitors when he swept in a low Morison cross with just seconds left.
