ff-feb18-mido.JPGHe's the only just arrived at Upton Park but Mido is already planning to stick around longer than the end of the season.

The Egyptian international signed on loan for the Hammers on transfer deadline day and is determined to seal a permanent move in the summer.

He's earning just a reported £1,000 a week, but it's a sign of how desperate Mido, 26, is to prove himself in the English game after disappointing spells at Tottenham, Middlesbrough and Wigan.

He said: "The last week I've been here I've been very happy. Everyone has been helping me and hopefully I'll do well these three or four months and stay here longer.

"I was really unlucky the past couple of years with injuries. I've been injury free for four or five months now and if I get the work right and get my head right, as I've been doing, I'll get the best out of it.

"I've shown in the past I can play in this league and I'll get back to the top level again."

Mido has a earned something of a reputation for having a poor attitude, but he claimed he's been misrepresented.

He said: "I've never had a problem with attitude. I've moved from a lot of clubs, that's why this reputation came to me. Everywhere I've been I've worked hard. The circumstances of my career have led me to many clubs but there are players, like Robbie Keane, who have had a lot of clubs.

"Sometimes players accept not being played and staying in a place for four or five years, but thank God I'm not one of them."

Mido will hope to feature in this Saturday's relegation clash with Hull at Upton Park. They are likely to include his international colleague Amr Zaki, a player Mido rates highly.

He said: "Zaki is a very good player, very strong. He's been doing well, but hopefully he won't score against us. Hull have a good team. They are very well organised but they are in a difficult situation, like us. It will be a crucial week for us."
